The hat is knit on 5mm and 6mm straight needles. This is a knit flat knitting pattern.
The pixie hat knitting pattern is easy to knit and suitable for beginners. The seam is sewn up at the end and due to the use of garter stitch throughout the hat this is almost invisible to see.
You can use any chunky yarn or indeed knit up two strands of dk double knitting wool held together.
