Elefun is a soft-all-over, cuddly nursery friend, suitable for little hands to hold.
Elefun can be knitted in any yarn ply of choice, either in one main colour or in the multicoloured version which uses eight different colours & is useful for using up lots of yarn oddments.
The single colour Elefun pictured above has been worked in Double Knit, using 75 grams Hayfield Bonus DK yarn in the main colour (shade 0814) plus an oddment of contrasting yarn. Both versions are knitted in several pieces on straight, single point needles & stitched together. The main body section is knitted in one piece, using short rows to shape the sections. An Elefun worked in DK yarn stands approx 9 ins/23 cms tall & measures approx 8 ins/20 cms in diameter.
