The simple Eli cardigan is worked flat from the top down. For this project, 2 different kinds of yarn were used: A self-striping cotton/viscose blend
(Gomitolo Collina, slubby tweed, gauge on label: 24 sts = 10 cm/ 4 in) and Bacca (100% cotton, solid colors, gauge on label 19 sts = 10cm/ 4 in), both by Lana Grossa and both discontinued). Of course, you could work the cardigan using just one kind of yarn. I guess the skill level might best be described as "confident beginner".
