Ember

Ember is a lightweight, summery top knit from the top down and featuring a corrugated rib yoke for a little splash of colour; perfect for utilising your leftover sock yarn!

Ember can be knit in either fingering (4 ply) or Sport weight (5 ply) yarn and I recommend a soft wool (like merino) or a wool blend. Although cotton would be lovely, the corrugated ribbing would possibly droop too much.

The pattern is written for sizes 12 months to 10 years. I suggest you choose a size based on your child's actual chest measurement rather than age and knit extra length as desired for your childs size.
