The perfect evergreen decoration or last-minute gift!
Designed for confident beginners, the tree is hooked in the round with a simple construction. Pattern uses simple popcorn stitches and puff stitches, which are made with half double crochet (UK half treble) and double crochet (UK treble) stitches. Instructions include a detailed photo tutorial for working the popcorn stitches and puff stitches. The A4 pattern is given in UK crochet terms and US crochet terms separately.
The tree is hollow when finished.
Make the flower in yellow instead of red to create a star. Flower/star measures 3cm diameter.
To make the tree, you will need any DK yarn in your favourite shade of green (approx 12g of yarn per tree) – I used Adriafil Classic Mirage DK (55% wool, 45% acrylic, 50g/125m), 1 ball of Green (85)
To make the flower/star, you need any DK yarn in red or yellow for the flower/star (approx 2g of yarn per flower/star) – I used Adriafil Classic Mirage DK (see above), 1 ball of Red (17).
