This cosy and stylish hat combines doubled ribbing edge and welted body with some easy lace leading into the crown decreases.
Even though pattern contains directions only for one size, it is quite stretchy (both in width and height) and will accomodate a wide range of head sizes.
Size One size to fit 56-58cm/22-23” head circumference. Length from brim to top 19 cm/ 7½ ”.
Materials 190m (200 yds) of DK weight yarn. Sample was made with Malabrigo Dos Tierras, Polar Morn.
Recommended needle sizes US#4/3.5 mm circular needle US#6/4.00 mm circular needle
Gauge 23 sts x 29 rows over 10 cm/4” in Stockinette Stitch with larger needle.
Other Some waste yarn and an extra needle to work a provisional cast-on. A crochet hook. Stitch markers. Tapestry needle or hook for weaving.
