I wanted to try designing a Fair Isle-style cowl with heavy lace weight yarn and small needles and am pleased with the result.
The yarn: Miss Babs Yarns YET Heavy lace yarn (400yd/365m; 2.2oz/62g) 65% Merino wool; 35% Tussah silk: 1 skein each of Rainforest (Color A) and Kitesurfing (Color B) The needles: US1/2.25mm circular 16”/40cm knitting needle or size needed to achieve gauge
Designer note: In case you were thinking of making my Cloud Forest Wrap, which uses the same yarn and same colorways, there would be enough left over from that project to knit this cowl.
