Frogs have always been speaking to the imagination, maybe because their very nature is the stuff of fairytales.Some of the smallest, most dazzling frogs’ beautiful coloration belies their devastating deadlinessandthe fatal fellows’ outfits in this pattern come in all colors of the rainbow:they really are dressed to kill!
In this pattern: the golden dart frog, the strawberry dart frog, the green and black dart frog, a lotus leaf and a golden crown. Each frog is a small and easy, fun and fast project, to use up any scraps you have lying around.
The 5 cm frogs were knitted in miniature on 1.25 mm double pointed needles but can be knitted on thicker needles in heavier yarn and will then turn out larger. The frogs ask for knitting in the round or flat, intarsia color work, i-cords, short rows and some simple crocheting, all explained clearly in the pattern. Soft toy filling is used to fill the frogs.
