I made the first version of this hat years ago on a whim, and did not write a pattern. It quickly became my go-to hat: in a collection that numbers over 100, this is the hat I wear 9 times out of 10. I love it so much, I reknit it again in the exact same yarn (and color!)- and took notes this time. Finally I can share with you my very favorite hat!
(The astute among you will have noticed that this hat is quite similar to Meriwether- Meri was one attempt to re-create that old favorite hat, but while I like it very much, it's just not the same. So here goes again!)
The sample was knit in Alpaca with a Twist Highlander. A substitute yarn is shown below.
