A wavy patterns formed by short rows is the eyecatcher of these mitts. With the fiery color, that makes the name - Feuerwellen is German for waves of fire.
Sometimes, you don’t need wool for your wrists, just a color accent or a little bit of protection. Silk is one of the most wonderful natural fibers. And Traumseide is the most wonderful silk I know. As it is laceweight, I used three threads together so the mitts are not too delicate.
The mitts are worked with slip stitches. The pattern contains tutorials for all stitches and techniques used.
