Flint Hills Blanket

The name for the Flint Hills Blanket is inspired by the Flint Hills area in the east central portion of Kansas...my home state.

Quick & easy to knit with super bulky weight yarn.

FIVE BLANKET SIZES:

Baby: 30” wide x 32” long

Small (Crib/Lap): 35” wide x 37” long

Medium: : 37.5” wide x 47” long

Large: 40” wide x 49.5” long

XL: 47.5” wide x 54.5” long

Any blanket size may be made longer by adding pattern repeats. Each pattern repeat adds 2.75” to length.

SUPER BULKY #6 WEIGHT YARN:

Baby: 380 - 410 yards

Small: 520 - 560 yards

Medium: 690 - 740 yards

Large: 820 - 900 yards

XL: 1150 - 1250 yards

Be sure to buy additional yarn if you plan to add length to your blanket.

This pattern will work well with many super bulky weight yarns.

Knit flat, in one piece, back and forth on US size 13 circular knitting needles.
