Florence Merriam Bailey bird cowl

This is a pattern to knit a cowl, and with 2 length options, using the stranded colourwork technique. Both sizes are worked in the round, one is a short tube worn close to the neck and the other a long tube which is grafted. (You may, of course, work your project even longer, if you prefer a scarf. No grafting, just sew each end closed.)

The short cowl has 3 size options achieved by changing needle sizes. The long cowl has only 1 suggested size option (though you may lengthen or shorten as you prefer or use any needles you like).
