“Flourish” is an asymmetrical triangular shawl worked sideways and has a rounded tip right in the center.
The pattern can either be worked from written or charted instructions. Both are included in the pattern.
If you prefer a lighter fabric, you can also use a thinner yarn and adjust the needle size and the amount of repeats.
The main part of this shawl is an easy and memorizable repeat of knits, purls and simple cables. Combined together, they create a texture looking like the stems and leaves of the lace flowers.
There are two sections of lace flowers, which are created by a combination of lace and cables. A cable detail runs along the entire edge of the shawl and is also used to bind off the stitches at the end. Due to this very stretchy bind-off and lace flower motif, the final shape of the shawl is quite close to a symmetrical one.
