Football Afghan

Football Afghan. Design is formed by a dc in front loop of st 2 rows below. All color changes are made at the beginning of the row so you are only working with one color at a time. Technique is similar to Mosaic knitting, but it’s done in crochet! Cleverly placed sts with alternating colored rows form the design. Instructions include a written pattern, plus optional graph.

Baby (39” x 45 7/8”) Materials: Size E crochet hook or size needed for gauge of 5 sts and 5 rows = 1”; baby/DK/sport yarn--13.85 oz. (1190 yds.) green, 6 oz. (512 yds.) brown, 7.85 oz. (677 yds.) white.

Child (43 1/3” x 50 7/8”) Materials: Size F crochet hook or size needed for gauge of 7 sts and 7 rows = 2”; baby/DK/sport yarn--16.25 oz. (1400 yds.) green, 7 oz. (600 yds.) brown, 9.25 oz. (796 yds.) white.

Adult (48 3/4” x 57 1/4”) Materials: Size G crochet hook or size needed for gauge of 4 sts and 4 rows = 1”; worsted weight yarn--32 oz. (1660 yds.) green, 15 oz. (780 yds.) brown, 13.25 oz. (688 yds.) white.
