gauge: with Biches et Buches, Le Petit Lambswool (498m/100g) yarn held double: 20 sts x 30 rnds = 10 cm in stockinette stitch with needle EUR 4, US 6
yarn: fingering weight or sock yarn 4 ply (ca. 420m/100g), yarn held double. A DK weight yarn (200m/100g) is possible as well, work with 1 strand, don’t hold this yarn double.
Amounts needed: please keep in mind that the yarn amount is an estimate. Feel free to knit this Balaclava as long as you wish. The longer you knit the more yarn is needed.
I’ve knitted the gray Gamechanger with 200 g Positive Ease Pure Merino, a fingering weight yarn (840 m), in size 2. With Le Petit Lambswool I needed 120g in size 2.
needles and tools: circular needles: 3.5 and 4 mm (US 4 and 6), a smaller circular needle for the folded hem, tapestry needle, scissors, 2 stitch markers, knitting dolly or DPNs for knitting the cord.
