This cute little sideways shawl is quick to knit and perfect for a beautiful skein of hand dyed yarn. The garter stitch body will show off any pretty colour, variegated or solid. The border combines knit and purl stitches along with a pretty eyelet lace pattern. The easy sideways construction allows for any amount of yarn to be used, making it a great one-skein project. It is shown here in Baah! Yarn La Jolla but any fingering-weight yarn may be used.
Pattern includes notes, list of abbreviations, diagram, and written as well as charted instructions.
Finished measurements: Approximately 36 cm wide at middle and 200 cm long, after blocking.
Skills required: increasing, decreasing, knitting lace, blocking lace. Stitches used: k, p, sl pwise wyif, k2tog, kfb, ssk, yo.
