A combination of double and single yarn overs combine to create the striking, large scale lace pattern on this elegant stole. Using a larger sized needle adds to the openwork effect and it’s finished at each side with a ‘stepped’ edging which is knitted at the same time as the main pattern. The sample shown is knitted in a striking palette of hot colours but if strong colours aren’t for you, this design would also look great in a more subtle colourway or even a solid shade.
Finished stole measures approx 44 cm ( 17 ¼ in ) wide ( including stepped edge detail ) x 178 cm ( 70 in ) long after blocking and pressing
