Gentiane

Gentiane is a squishy cowl which plays with the soft texture of Suri yarns and fine yak and silk to create a graphic plaid effect. It starts with a provisional cast-onnand is knitted flat until the desired length. The two ends are joined with a three needle bind-off. The edge stitches are picked up and bound off in I-cord in the round to make a clean and elegant border. Easy to memorize, the slipped stitch motif matches the difference in thickness and texture for a light and balance result. The cowl drapes around the neck or is wrapped twice to keep you warm.
