Geometric Illusion Cowl / Scarf

Geometric Illusion Cowl/Scarf is worked sideways with button band or joined in the round with 3 needle bind off. Combination of 3 different two color patterns (stripe and slip stitch patterns) create an asymmetric color change illusion and create a personal, unique look every time to be worn.

Pattern is written and charted.

Size:Cowl: width 9”/23 cm, length 49”/125 cm (twisted twice around a neck). Long scarf: width 9”/23 cm, length 67”/170 cm Easily adjustable. Functional buttons add interest and give the option of wearing cowl as a scarf.

Skills required: knit, purl, slip st, provisional cast-on, 3 needle bind off (for loop cowl only), picking up stitches from edges.

Gauge: 21 sts and 33 rows = 4"/10 cm in garter ridges pattern with larger needle after blocking.
