Knit a fully-poseable cuddly horse toy in baby-blue yarn with our easy-to-knit pattern. A lovely creative present for someone special.
A complete illustrated knitting pattern to make a soft toy horse with a red plaited woolly tail and button joints, this makes a lovely gift for a horse lover. Using knit and purl stitches and increasing and decreasing, the fully illustrated instructions take you step by step through knitting, making up and decorating your pony. The finished horse can sit, stand, or even lie down, and looks lovely sitting on a bedroom shelf. Suitable for knitters with a little experience.
We used a 50g ball of Sirdar Snuggly 100% Merino yarn in colour 71 Lagoon (you can also knit the horse from any DK or 4 ply weight yarn including Sirdar Snuggly DK in Sky or Sirdar Snuggly Soothing DK in Baby Blue.) A couple of metres of Hayfield Bonus Chunky in Signal Red 977 for the tail, 3mm knitting needles, toy stuffing and buttons.
