This Gingerbread Man themed hat has a ribbed brim and a stocking stitch body with a Fair Isle/stranded colourwork Gingerbread Man repeat pattern encircling the lower section of the hat body; the larger sizes also include a holly repeat pattern above the Gingerbread Men. The motifs are worked using only two colours in a row which makes this an ideal pattern for those new to the Fair Isle technique. The hats pictured are worked using a lovely soft pure wool yarn in worsted weight on 4.5mm/US 7 needles and are topped with an optional pompom.
The pattern covers sizes from baby to adult and the instructions are written for both knitting in the round using a circular needle with no seaming necessary and knitting flat on two needles with a seam at the back.
