Inspired by origami, kimonos & minimalism, this Ginkgo has been a long work in progress, so I'm really excited to finally share it with you!
"Ginko is a very simple top knit in one piece from the bottom up. Stitches are provisionally cast on for the sleeves while the two sides of the neck and the back are completed. Once the shaping of the neck and the back are done the two pieces are joined together. Then the provisional stitches are carefully unzipped and bound off with the second set of live stitches for the sleeves. A few more rows of stockinette and the body is done. Then the two side are then joined with a mattress stitch.”
The sample was made with Blacker Yarn Lyonesse DK. A suggested substitute yarn is shown below.
