Produktdetails
The Ginkgo Tree is one of my favourite deciduous ornamental trees. They are gorgeous bright green during the summer, then the leaves turn a spectacular yellow in the autumn.
An i-cord stem leads seamlessly into the broad fan-shaped leaf. Simple yarn over increases shape the sides of the leaf and provide the distinctive ruffle across the top. The leaf is knitted flat and is completely seamless. The two halves of the top of the leaf are done continuously without breaking the yarn, so there are only two ends to weave in at the end.
These make perfect ornaments, or single decorations, or make a whole bunch and string them together for a garland. They’re perfect for using up yarn leftovers.
The finished size of your leaf will be determined by your yarn and needle size. You are aiming for a fairly dense, rather than a loose, knitted fabric but not so tight that it hurts your hands!
