This pattern is intermediate in level and suitable for those who can confidently do UK double and treble crochet (US single and double crochet). It is worked in the round with a magic ring start. Both US and UK versions of the pattern are included, as well as an older version of the pattern for an aran/worsted-weight Christmas decoration with no tassel (pictured in red).
This pattern uses UK double, half treble, treble, double treble and triple treble crochet stitches. Written instructions for half/double/triple trebles are included (US single, half double, double, treble and double treble crochet stitches).

- Cotton-rich yarns works best. Use a hook that is smaller than normally recommended, so that the fabric is nice and firm. 2.5mm for 4ply, 3mm for aran.
