Gum Blossom is a pretty little triangle-shape shawl made with one skein of a plant-dyed merino nylon fingering / 4 ply yarn from Gum Blossom Yarns.
The embroidery stitch pattern, eyelet lace and a picot edge work together in this shawl to capture the botanical nature of gumnuts and eucalyptus blossom.
Yarn Gum Blossom Yarns Merino Sock (80% Merino Wool, 20% Nylon; 409 yards / 374 metres per 100 grams). Shown in the Gum Blossom colourway, 1 skein.
Gauge 21 stitches and 30 rows per 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette stitch (blocked). Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.
