This hat and booties set will make the perfect handmade baby shower gift. Quick and easy to knit, they feature matching rolled edges. The hat has a spiral decreasing pattern in the crown and a cute little apple core. The booties have thick garter stitch soles for added warmth and ribbed ankles to keep them on little feet.
This is a quick and easy little set for any beginner knitter who can knit in the round. Stitches used are knit, purl and basic decreases and increases (which are explained in the instructions).
Instructions are given fro 3 sizes: newborn to 3 months, 3 - 6 months and 6 - 9 months.
Materials: One 50g ball of sport or light DK weight yarn and two sets of knitting needles (one 3.25mm and one 3.75mm), 6 place markers and 1 wool darning needle.
