Halfpenny Baby Blanket

The Halfpenny Baby Blanket is a "quilt like" Tunisian crochet project created by using stitches that mimic fabrics. While the squares appear to be stitched separately and joined, the blanket is constructed with 4 panels of 5 continuous blocks each. I love the efficiency of fewer tails and carrying yarn up the sides. The panels are easily joined and finished with a simple crochet border. Halfpenny was recently pictured in the Tunisian supplement of Simply Crochet, Issue 94 along with some of my other favourite designs. This project is suitable for "competent" beginners and includes detailed instructions on each stitch pattern used and suggestions on how to design your own project.
