These cute Halloween themed hats have a ribbed brim and a stocking stitch body with a Fair Isle (stranded) cat or pumpkin repeat pattern encircling the lower section of the hat body. The motifs are worked using only two colours in a row which makes this an ideal pattern for those new to Fair Isle/stranded colour work knitting.
The hats are worked using a lovely soft acrylic wool mix yarn in DK/light worsted weight on 4mm/US6 needles or a circular needand DPNs for the crown.
The pattern is written for knitting flat on two needles and in-the-round using a circular needle, so you need only print the appropriate pages.
The pattern covers sizes from newborn to adult.
The baby sizes would make a cute set with my Halloween Booties pattern.
