Happy Colors Heart

This colorful crochet heart works up quickly. It's fun to make, a great stash buster, and suitable for a beginner with some experience. The example is made in 6 colors of Red Heart Super Saver, but any worsted yarn can be used. Tthe heart measures about 7” across the widest part by 5.5” down the middle and about 6.5” from highest edge to lowest point. It can be used as an applique to decorate other items and projects or made into a hanging decoration or a magnet.

Materials:

F Hook (3.75 mm)

Worsted weight yarn, about 20 yards each of 5 colors, A,B,C,D,E, and 30 yards of 1 color, F, for the ruffled edge. The example was made in Red Heart Super Saver: Color A - Cherry Red #0319; Color B - Aruba Sea #0505; Color C - Cornmeal #0320; Color D - Lavender #0358; Color E - Tea Leaf #0624; and, Color F - Light Raspberry #0774

For hanging: 8” – 10” yarn or ribbon

For magnet: 2” x 2” square of flexible flat magnet

Gauge: 4 stitches and 4 rounds in SC equals about 1”
