This pattern is for my Hapu the Hippo Amigurumi pattern. Amigurumi are mainly single crochet (UK double crochet) stitches, but for this pattern, you will need to know the following:
*slip stitch
*single crochet
*double crochet
Any special stitches used are clearly described in the pattern.
**Materials:**
*worsted weight yarn in 1 or 2 colors (I used Red Heart Super Saver)
*stuffing
*one pair 10 mm safety eyes (a little smaller or bigger will work too)
*E, F or G hook - whichever you normally use for amigurumi (3.25-4.25 mm hook - I use a G, but I crochet fairly tightly.)
*Yarn needle to sew pieces together
*Gauge is not important to this pattern. Your stitches should be tight enough that the stuffing does not show through.
