Hazel - three cabled headbands

The pattern includes three different cable patterns:

Headband 1 = narrow round cables.

Headband 2 = plaited cables.

Headband 3 = expanding cables.

These headbands are quick to knit and great for using up left over yarn. They also make a fantastic project for someone who is new to cable knitting. It’s a chance to practice working cables without having a lot of stitches in each row.

Pattern sizes: 2 to 4 yrs (5 to 7 yrs-8 to 10 yrs- teen to lady)

To fit head: 52 (53-55-56) cm [20½ (21-21¾-22) ins].

Yarn required: Creative Basics Esther 8ply, 100g balls@220m.

Headband 1: approx 11 (11-12-12) grams.

Headband 2: approx 38 (39-42-45) grams.

Headband 3: approx 22 (22-24-24) grams.

Needles required: A pair of 4.00mm [UK 8, US 6] knitting needles.

A cable needle.

Wool needle for sewing up.

Tension: 22 sts and 30 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over stocking st, using 4.00mm needles.
