I decided to create this granny square heart crop top pattern due to the popularity of all things pink when the Barbie movie came out this year. It’s an easy make and if you have a daughter, nieces or friends or you’re young yourself, you might like it.
SKILL LEVEL: Upper beginner
In this pattern I assume you know how to make a granny square and are capable of some basic sewing squares together and know the half double crochet and double crochet stitches. The top can be worn with the drawstring at the front or back, but I would recommend the back.
YARN This pattern uses 8 ply/DK acrylic, any brand can be used and I encourage you to use up scraps depending on your colour choices. You will need 1-2 x 100g balls of the six square colours and 3-4 x 100g balls of the main colour.
You will also need a 3.5mm crochet hook, a tapestry needle, measuring tape and scissors.
