Hearts and Kisses was designed as a simple and sweet one-colour baby blanket. If you can make a granny square then you can make this blanket, as it uses the same types of stitches.
The finished size is approx. 72cm by 74cm but it can be adapted to any size, provided you adjust your yarn quantities.
The original sample used Malabar Aran which is a blend of lofty cotton and silk, giving it weight, softness and warmth, perfect to snuggle under. However this yarn is no longer readily available. Two very good value alternatives are Stylecraft Special Aran and Paintbox Yarns Simply Aran, both come in a wide range of colours. The pattern has been adapted for these yarns.
