Hettie is an asymmetrical triangular-shaped shawl worked sideways with increases along one side. The pattern is very easy to customize and fun to knit, ideal for travel knitting. I designed this shawl during a road trip, thinking of a practical accessory for the coming summer. Not a massive shawl, but essential for windy days and evenings at the seaside.
Size small [medium, large].
Yarn approx. 375 [500, 600] yards/343 [455, 550] meters of heavy fingering/sport weight yarn plus approx. 33 [45, 55] yards/30 [40, 50] meters for fringes (optional).
**Gauge **15.5 sts & 44 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in garter stitch.
