Holey blanket

Lightweight and so extremely easy to carry and acts as a perfect extra layer in the winter – the holes are wonderful for trapping air and making an insulated layer without overheating you – while also adding some extra weight, which is perfect in the summer too when you’re far too hot for the duvet, but need something on top of you so you can sleep! The structure also lends itself to being very springy, and it makes a great cushion when folded.

Only two different stitches are used for the majority of the pattern, so very simple and great for beginners who're trying to learn tension and get used to the feel of crochet.

Notes • This pattern uses UK terminology. • This pattern requires you to turn the work unless otherwise specified. • The blanket will be approximately 205cm by 130cm if following the pattern, however it is easily adjustable and can be made to any size.

Materials • Bulky yarn, x12 skeins of any colours. • 6mm crochet hook
