This fun little hair accessory adds a playful touch to any ponytail. The stitches are cast on directly to the hair tie and worked in the round. A modified picot bind off leaves a textured edge that resembles a hyacinth flower when worn. This scrunchie is a great stash buster. Quick and easy, it makes a great handmade gift.

You will need:
- approximately 22 yds ( 20 m) worsted weight yarn
(Shown in Red Heart Super Saver [100% acrylic] color: amethyst)
- US size 7 [4.5 mm] double pointed needles (set of 4)
- (Optional): US size 7 [4.5 mm] circular needle long enough to magic loop
- Hair Tie/hair elastic/ponytail ring/ponytail holder/whatever you call it in your corner of the world. Approximately 2″ in diameter.
