You’ll fall hopelessly in love with this generously sized mesh shawl featuring a broad knitted-on border with delicate eyelet edging. The velvety wool blend in a natural shade sets the stage for the horizontal lace panel of subtle interlocking hearts flanked by unbroken chains of twisted rib cables. Wrap yourself in forever love.
Yarn 3 skeins of YSOLDA Blend no. 1 (100% blended wool; 315m/344y per 100g) or any other sport weight yarn which gives you the correct gauge. Shown in colorway Undyed.
Gauge 5 eyelets wide and 7 eyelets high = 10 cm/4” in Grand Eyelet pattern measured flat after wet blocking. The gauge isn’t crucial on this project, but differences will affect the finished size as well as the required yardage. Tip: In order to swatch, just begin the shawl. After completing a couple of repeats, wash the swatch and pin it.
