This pattern for a novelty knitted purse/gift bag has been made using oddments of yarn & lined with a swatch of mini print fabric.
It would make an ideal stashbuster project.
I made my purse with a (lost label - and can't remember what it was!) oddment from the bottom of my stash drawer so in the materials list, have suggested an alternative yarn.
Using approx 1.3 ozs (40g) of DK yarn, my finished Kittyknit (excluding ears & paws) measures approximately 4 x 4½ inches (10 x 11.5 cms). The pattern could, however, be adapted for use with other thicknesses of yarn (depending on the size required) & made up in any colours you prefer – plain or striped!
The pieces are worked flat, on straight, single point needles, using Knit & Purl stitches. Some stitching together is required to complete.
