Color designs are added before felting using Swiss darning (duplicate stitch) ... so don't worry about following a color chart or having to carry yarn! After knitting, felt the lantern in your washing machine. Making simple slits all the way around after felting allow the light from a battery-operated candle to shine through. This is so simple, you'll want to make several to hang in your garden! The pattern directions include instructions for Swiss darning, too!
