Knitted Square Double Moss

Remember visiting grandma’s house and you’d see that beautiful Knitted Square Blanket quilt draped over her chair?

Now you can make one, too, but with your favorite colors and with popular and fun stitches!

This is the first square in a series of twelve knit squares for making a blanket. Each square is 12 inches square. The finished knitted blanket will be approximately 40” x 50” including the border.

With each square you’ll learn and master a new stitch. And with each square you’ll build on the skill you learned in the previous square. Thus first knitted square is perfect for beginners. It is only knits and purls in the pattern of a double moss stitch. This double moss stitch is taught clearly in the pattern, which includes helpful YouTube links, as well as relevant abbreviation definitions.

You’ll be able to knit right along with the video tutorials as you learn how to cast on the yarn to your needle, make each kind of stitch, and finally bind off at the end.
