Koala Lovey

Created to celebrate new babies!

This koala lovey is made in two main parts, using standard amigurumi methods to create the head, and then a fun double stranded technique to create the lovey blanket called Yarn Under crochet.

To make the lovey you'll need 2 balls of light grey yarn for the head and for the main colour of the lovey blanket, and a single ball of the complementary colour for the blanket.

This pattern has been designed with Scheepjes Cahlista, an aran weight, 100% soft cotton yarn, ideally suited to baby projects and to amigurumis.

You'll also need some scrap in black to make the nose and a small handful of toy filling, but you can also use something else that you might have at home, like yarn ends, if you don't have toy filling.
