If you layer paint by working with watercolors or other thin layers, earlier layers shine through. That’s what happens with these mitts: You have two layers but neither covers the other fully. By working them separately, I can wear them covering much of my arm, even beyond my elbow.

The fingerless gloves are crocheted using slip stitches.
