Laura Cowl

Laura Cowl is for my oldest daughter. She’s already a teenager, claiming to be adult, and refusing to wear childish colors like pink or purple. She needed something that shows that II take her seriously, so I made her a gray cowl. To compensate the serious color I decided to use some luxurious yarn with cashmere and silk content - she already knows how to take care of such a garment.

The cowl is textured, the different sections give it a lively rhythm. It knits up quickly and due to the pattern changes you won’t get bored.

**YARN USED IN SAMPLE: **Lana Gatto Feeling 153 yds (140 m) / 50 g, 70 % wool, 20% silk, 10% cashmere, colorway: dove gray, 230 yards 210 m (a substitute is shown below).

**SIZE: **4 3/4” 12 wide and 47 1/4” 120 cm long.Please note, that the width is not the same for the whole loope because of the different patterns.I give tips for adjusting the pattern.

**GAUGE: **25 sts x 28 rows = 4 x 4” 10 x 10 cm in pattern from Chart C.Please note that in this particular project getting the right gauge is not essential. However, working with different yarnweight / gauge will effect both the yardage and the final size of the project as well.
