Linked Tweed shawl/cowl is knitted with stunning reversible cables. The finished accessory is basic, warm, strong, and versatile. Basic, because of the simple 3 by 2 rib design. All 3-knit/2-purl ribs are on the side that result in the large 10-row cables, and all 2-knit/3-purl ribs are on the other side that result in the smaller 6-row cables. Every 60 rows one strand of the double-stranded yarn is changed. (red-red, red-beige, beige-beige, beige-white, white-white, white-red). Warm, because the double stranded ribs and cables on both sides of the fabric build a nearly impenetrable cold barrier. Strong, because Stroll Tweed contains 25% Nylon for extra strength and since it is knitted double stranded the fabric is extra strong. Versatile, because the resulting shawl can be finished several different ways. Cowl, cowl with mobius twist, or shawl.
