An airy romantic-style lace shawl that is easy to knit in a quite "other" way of construction. You start with knitting the first border, pick up sts from the long side afterwards to work the center and - at last - knit the second border directly to the center again.
Measurements Measurements of finished shawl after blocking: 71” in length and 27½” in width (180 x 70 cm)
Materials
- approx 850 yds lace weight yarn
- US 6 (4,0 mm) circular or straight needles (or any size to obtain gauge)
- crochet hook (4,0 mm)
Gauge 22 sts and 26 rows in stockinette stitch = 4” (10 x 10 cm) after washing and blocking
