Introduction: Bring some bright tropical flair to a gray dreary winter with this flamingo cowl. Originally designed for a close family friend who loves bright colors and collects flamingos of every type, this is a perfect gift for the flamingo fan in your life (or for yourself!). With two sizes to choose from, it can flatter any body type. The funnel shape creates a large cowl that covers from chin to chest like an artfully draped shawl, but so much easier to style -- just pull on and go. The worsted weight yarn makes it a fairly fast knit and the emerging flamingos make it impossible to put down!
Techniques required: Simple decreases: the funnel shape is knit bottom-up and uses k2tog for shaping. Stranded color work in the round: The stranded colorwork design is entirely charted and includes some long floats.
Modifications: Pattern includes a page of ideas to modify size, color placement, or shape and brief explanations of how these modifications might be carried out.
