March Weather mitts

March. The time of the year when fingerless mitts seem to be a must. No longer freezing, yet your hands get cold if not covered. You are already fed up with typical winter accessories and you want to feel that spring is coming. Fingerless mitts will keep your hands warm and at the same time will give you that feeling of a new season approaching! Depending on the yarn you use, the mitts could be rugged looking enough to go hiking or climbing or dressy enough for a simple walk down main street. The pattern comes from Poland but lets face it, cold is cold everywhere.

Size: woman’s average – thanks to the ribbing the mitts will easily fit most hands. The mitts measure approx. 6’’ / 15cm unstretched around the palm just above the thumb, and they will comfortably stretch up to 8 - 9’’ / 20 – 23cm around at this point. Size can be adjusted by going up or down a needle size, or by changing the yarn weight and adjusting the needles accordingly.
