This sweater was originally made with Tahki Yarns New Tweed. That yarn has been discontinued. Tahki Yarns Coast gets the same gauge on the same needles. Therefore, I have substituted that in the information above. I prefer to join knitted pieces and reinforce edges with crochet, which produces durable seams and firm edges. This sweater knits on smaller needles than is customary for this weight yarn. The tighter gauge results in a better fitting, longer lasting garment.
