This lace shawl is knitted from the top down, starting with a garter tab. The lace patterns it incorporates are Spider Lace, Palm Leaf Chevron and Chevron. It ends with leaf designs which can be stretched during blocking to create 'points'. Optional beads are incorporated into the pattern.
The purple sample shawl was knitted in Sublime Lace Extra Fine Merino Wool (1400m per 100g) using 3.25mm 100cm circular needles. A total of 58g (ie approx. 812m/889yards) was used. (3 x 25g balls).
653 size 8 Miyuki beads (approx. 20g) are also incorporated into the shawl.
Shawl dimensions after blocking:- 66 inches across wingspan 33 inches long
8 repeats of Chart A 2 repeats of Chart B 1 repeat of all other charts
