Knit a Messenger Pigeon with a slightly daft expression and big feet! Made from chunky yarn, this pattern also includes instructions to knit a little messenger bag that tucks under his wing- pop a note or a treat inside it if you’re knitting him as a gift.
The pattern uses increasing and decreasing to shape (Kfb, K2tog etc) and is knitted flat on 4.5mm straight knitting needles.
Pigeon measures 43cm tall when finished.
Suggested Yarns
We used a ball of Stylecraft Special Chunky in Silver (1203) for the main colour and small amounts of Paintbox Simply Chunky in colour Washed Teal (332) and colour Peach Orange (354). For the bag we used a small amount of King Cole Big Value Chunky in Yellow (colour 828)
